Connecting your Television, VCR, and DVD Player:

NOTE: Do not connect a DVD Player to a VCR and then to the TV. Copyright protection will prevent the DVD signal from displaying clearly when routed through a VCR (as well as prevent copying of DVD movies to VHS). Connect your components as outlined below.

First, connect the DVD Player as follows:
You will require: audio / visual cables. You may also use an S-Video cable in place of the yellow visual cable if you prefer, and your television has an S-VIDEO input. Connect the AUDIO OUT jacks on the DVD player to the AUDIO IN jack(s) on the rear of the television. Then connect the VIDEO OUT on the DVD player to the VIDEO IN on the television, OR connect the S-VIDEO OUT on the DVD player to the S-VIDEO IN on the television.

Connecting your DVD player in this manner will not affect your cable or antenna connection to your television. Please see Connecting Your Television and VCR for further details on these connections. To use the DVD player, the Input Mode or Channel on your television must be changed. Consult your Owner's Manual for instructions on using your TV and DVD player.
